Working in a variety of media appeals to my sense of curiosity about what happens as different materials underlay and overlay one another and a history of work evolves.  I work with a variety of paper, cloth, metal and sheetrock.  With an etching press and hand tools, these surfaces are painted, collaged, drawn on and dug into many times before a final work emerges.  I have no preconceived image to be developed, but might start with an image, such as an old photograph or text, and transform it until it becomes a new image or series of images.  I collaborate on collages with Chandler and Kaczmarek.  Working on the same pieces adds a vital dimension to both the collaboration and individual work.
