Shelby Head studied sculpture at Pratt Institute in the MFA program. She has extensive experience working as a professional mold maker and wax technician for several art foundries in New Mexico and for sculptor Tom Otterness in New York City. She built models and supervised model makers for stop motion animated television commercials and music videos during the 1980’s. Head has exhibited widely and is represented in numerous private and corporate collections.
